Ranthambore Safari Horror for Tourists

A group of tourists at Ranthambore National Park faced a terrifying experience when their safari canter broke down, and the guide allegedly abandoned them in the middle of the forest. The incident occurred around 6 pm on Sunday, leaving women, children, and families stranded in an area known to be home to over 60 tigers.
Guide Allegedly Abandons Tourists
According to reports, the safari canter developed a technical fault during the evening ride. The guide assured the passengers he would bring another vehicle but failed to return. This left the tourists trapped inside the jungle for more than an hour, heightening their fear.
Tourists accused the guide of misbehaviour and negligence, claiming he walked away without ensuring their safety. Videos recorded by the visitors showed children sitting in the dark, using mobile flashlights, and crying in fear.
Danger in Tiger Territory
Ranthambore National Park is one of India’s most popular tiger reserves, home to tigers, leopards, sloth bears, and marsh crocodiles. Being left unattended in such a high-risk zone sparked panic among the tourists, who feared for their lives until assistance arrived.
Calls for Accountability
The incident has raised serious concerns over the safety standards of wildlife safaris in Rajasthan. Tourists and conservationists have urged the forest department and park authorities to take strict action against negligence, citing the need for better monitoring, vehicle maintenance, and responsible guiding practices to protect visitors in sensitive wildlife areas.
